International visitors enjoyed multi-day training at Calliola

Vaisala International group arrange 4 days meeting at Calliola last November.

Group coordinator and host, Vaisala UK Human Resources Manager Geoff Hart answered few questions regarding services and facilities at Calliola.

How did you find out about the Calliola Conference & Event Center?

  • Well, actually Vaisala has used Calliola before. Finding that it was an ideal location, it was pretty easy to do so again.

How did your company event at Calliola differ from the events hosted by other event centers?

  • I think there are two critical things:
  1. Location - Calliola location is special, it really allows people to get away from 'normal' stresses and distractions of business and office life. It helps to give space to think and reflect upon why you are there.
  2. Staff - Calliola team at Snappertuna were excellent, all of them. They were always positive, extremely happy to help and very supportive in all possible ways. They helped to make it an excellent learning environment for us.

Do you find Calliola a suitable place for multi-day trainings?

  • Yes, most definitely. One reservation (see below) on the accommodations. Other than that, the meeting rooms, food, surroundings and facilities were excellent all round. The added activities too.

Would you recommend Calliola to a friend or a colleague?

  • Yes, most definitely.

Is there anything we could do better next time?

  • I'm not sure if it something exactly that you could do better for next time, but the only real negative comments I had were from one or two participants on the standard of the accommodation. I think this relates mainly to the fact that our group included a lot of people who are used to travelling and staying in good hotels without having to use shared facilities such as bathrooms. Personally I had no problem, but I think a lot of us are used to a good standard of facilities in business hotels around the world. What would definitely have caused bigger issues would have been if we had been in the situation where we actually had to share bedrooms. We were fortunate that everyone had a room to themselves, but you definitely need space to unwind and some personal time on events like this.
